Dallas married Kathy and I May 28,1961. We were just looking at our ceremony photo album and we wanted to look Dallas up or any of his family. Dallas has always been dear to us though we moved many times through all these years. If you can any of the family contact us.

I was a friend of Pastor Shafers youngest daughter Amy and a member of Security Christian Church in the early to mid 80s. Even though I dont remember his sermons, I do remember he and his wife would always welcome me into their home. I am rejoicing in the fact that he is home with our Lord Jesus Christ. Much ❤ Im sorry it took me 10 years to see this.

My life was blessed by Dallas Shafer. I was a PPCC student in his "Death and Dying" class in 1976. The deep and honest discussions that he led served to allow me to just be myself-- at a time when I believed nobody would like the girl that I truly was.
Dr. Shafer reinforced my intellectual curiosity and expressed to me that I was a unique person, lovingly created. He led me to read more about people and the way that we deal with the issues we face in life. I have always appreciated that I had the opportunity to learn from him.
Back then I was insecure about my abilities and whether I had what it took to complete my education. Dr. Shafer encouraged me. I now have my own doctorate. His contribution to my education was invaluable.

My heart goes out to Dr. Shafer's family at this time. He was an incredibly sensitive and caring person, and I know that you will miss him dearly. Please know that our prayers are with you.

DALLAS WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED BY MY FAMILY AND HOLDS A SPECIAL PLACE IN OUR HEARTS!!!
I AM HEATHER WILSON (FORMERLY HEATHER THOMAS, AS I JUST REMARRIED ON AUG. 2, 2008).
MY GRANDPARENTS WERE EARL AND HELEN BAILEY AND I KNOW THAT DALLAS WAS THERE FOR MY FAMILY WHEN MY GRANDMA WAS ILL.
I WAS THE GRANDDAUGHTER THAT EARL BAILEY WOULD ASK MUCH PRAYER FOR, WHO LIVED IN OH AND MOVED BACK TO CO IN 2004. I HAVE AN AUTISTIC SON, BRIAN, AND A DAUGHTER, KAYLA.
DALLAS WAS ALWAYS NICE TO OUR FAMILY AND I HELD HIM IN PRAYER KNOWING HE HAD BEEN SICK FOR QUITE SOME TIME (POSSIBLY LONGER THAN PEOPLE KNEW).
MY UNCLE, GLENN BAILEY, AND MY MOTHER, MARTI HALL, WILL ALSO MISS DALLAS AS HE WAS THERE FOR THEM IN TIMES OF GREAT NEED!!!
I GIVE DALLAS' FAMILY OUR SINCERE SYMPATHY AND KNOW THAT HE IS IN THE HANDS OF HIS HEAVENLY FATHER!!!
WITH MUCH LOVE AND BLESSINGS THROUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME,
CLIFF AND HEATHER WILSON, AND BRIAN AND KAYLA THOMAS

My heart goes out to the Shafer family in this time of loss, but I must also rejoice with them as Dallas is spending eternity with our Lord and Savior.
I met Dallas at PPCC in 1982 where he was teaching a class called “Death and Dying”. It was through this class and Dallas that I ultimately became a Christian. I could tell from the way he taught that he had a faith I didn’t understand, but wanted to know more about. I started attending Security Christian Church and Dallas counseled me through some difficult times. It was through his example and sharing the word that I accepted the Lord. Dallas baptized me and gave me my first hug into the family of God.
I will forever be grateful to this wonderful man for saving me from a life of sin and destruction. He has truly influenced many people and his life has touched many. What a blessing to have known him.

I attended Security Christian Chuch in the mid to late 70's. Dallas was an awesome preacher and a great man. My husband and I lost a daughter very suddenly in March of 1997. I remember and still have the letter of encouragement that he sent us. I know that he is with the Lord and my daughter Kerrey. Dallas was a great influence in my Christian life and for that I have been truly blessed.

To the family of Dr. Dallas Shaffer:
I loved this Godly man. I first met him when I 18yrs old back in 1971. He was my psych professor at EPCC(now PPCC) when I was going through nursing school. Over the years our paths had continued to cross...He also taught my mother when she went back to nursing school, I was his nurse for awhile when I worked at Dr. David Clarks office, and then again when we atteded WVC.

He will be missed dearly, but we have the blessed assurance that we will meet again in heaven...

I and my family are praying for you and yours...

My sympathies to the Schafer family for your loss, Dallas was a close friend to my parents (Helen & Earl Bailey) and was there for Mom when she was real sick I thank the family for the time they gave up so that Dallas could minister to others and now is in the fathers everlasting arms and knows that all of the time away from his family was all worth while.

My heart goes out to Dallas' family. He was a great and wonderful man. He was there for me when my daughter, Katie was killed in an auto accident as we were driving home from her last school concert of the year. He presided over her service at the Shrine of Rememberence May 19th, 1997. He showed up at all of the court proceedings that followed after that horrible accident. He counseled me in my grief and pain for many, many months. Dallas is someone that I will never forget, and he will always be in my heart. Roxanne Kelly
