My name is Jessica Tingley, and I am Gold Star sister of Sgt Joshua Kirk, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2009. I am very sorry for the loss of Daniel. After reading his guest book, I can tell he was an amazing man. I wanted to contact you and your family because I organize and annual tribute run/walk event to honor and remember fallen heroes with ties to Idaho. It would be such an honor to include Daniel. This year we will be holding two events, on in Pocatello and one in Post Falls. The Pocatello even will be held in conjunction with the Field of Heroes event, Saturday May 26th. If you would like some more information, or would just like to talk about Daniel, I would love to hear from you. My number is 208-627-2675, and the website for our tribute run is www.runforthefallenidaho.org. I can only say again how truly sorry I am for your loss.
Sincerely,
Jessica

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Daniel will never be forgotten.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed

But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

For those missing in action;
for those who didn't make it home.
I know you're in God's presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.

I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you .

I Salute You.
