Dan passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Newark, Ohio, and in 1984 moved to Colorado where he had a 40 year career as a Power Systems Operator for various Power & Light Companies in Ohio & Colorado.
Dan loved baseball, golf, traveling to the Caribbean and driving his Classic 57 Chevy. He radiated joy in existence itself and he never met a stranger. Exuberant, generous, loyal to a fault, and abundant in patience and love, he was a model for how to live one's best life.
He proudly served in the USAF and was honorably discharged in 1966
Daniel is survived by his fiancée Connee Sasso of Colorado Springs, children, Amanda Dutton (Erik Silkebakken) of Florida, and Aaron "Joe" Dutton (Jessica) of Scottsbluff, NE. as well as his grandchildren Jacob Dutton & Emily Sasso.

My deepest sympathies to Danny´s family on his passing. I knew Danny not only from the Ohio Power Co., but from when I delivered The Newark Advocate to his home when I was a kid. There was many a time in the summer months when delivering the paper that I´d hear music from an Elton John record or another 70´s group playing off of a stereo system in the house.
