Daniel Ray Hayes was born in Pueblo, CO on December 16, 1938 and died of congestive heart failure and pneumonia at age 85 in Colorado Springs, CO on September 14, 2024.

During his younger years, Dan served in the US Navy. He was married to Sharon (Dykes) from 1960 to 1986, and together they share three daughters. From June 3, 1995 until the time of his death, Dan was married to Peggy (Williams) Hayes. He enjoyed a successful career of nearly four decades with the US Postal Service. For leisure, Dan loved to golf, travel, downhill ski, and spend time with his family. He was a great storyteller with an infectious sense of humor and unforgettable laugh. Dan is survived by his wife Peggy, sister Sharon Dalgleish, daughters Terri Norman, Tina Hayes-Siltzer and Tricia Elliott, as well as seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Wednesday, October 16th at 10:30 am at the Swan-Law Funeral home, 501 N Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
