Daniel Lockhart Obituary

Daniel E Lockhart, 62

A resident of Colorado Springs, Daniel Lockhart died 1 November 2016 due to complications of leukemia.

He was born 23 May 1954 into an Air Force military family in Huntington, West Virginia and went on to enter the Air Force himself. He was passionate and knowledgeable about airplanes, and building model planes became a hobby. His companion German Shepherd dogs were ever-present in our home.

Mountain Search and Rescue for ten years. In recent years Daniel became deeply involved in his Scottish heritage, was active in the American Clan Lockhart Society, and hosted clan tents at the area Scottish Games. Visiting his ancestral homeland, castle and Clan Chief was a lifetime highlight. He never missed an opportunity to wear his kilt.

Daniel will be remembered for his quiet strength, deep faith, and a compassion and love of others. The most important thing for him was his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in whose arms he now rests.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Madeleine; M' other, Joyce Lockhart; brother, Steve Lockhart, with his wife Judy and nephews Cody and Jesse; brother-in-law Claude Oleyar with his wife Cheryl and niece Christina Crippen and her children.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Lockhart.
