Danielle,

We missed you today at the 20 year reunion. It felt like going back in time walking around campus again. I kept thinking how much you would have loved being involved with the gathering. I can't tell you how many times I've thought of you over the years. The tragedy of your passing shaped the person I became in so many ways. At first, I felt a lot of anger at how unjust the world could be, but eventually anger gave way to a greater appreciation of the gift of life. One which is never guaranteed and which should never be squandered. I wanted to be the kind of person you would want me to be, and following that impulse over the years has never lead me astray. The wholesome kindness of your spirit still lives on in all of us. You are truly unforgettable. We miss you, Danielle.

Danielle. I think things are going well. I don't know. I believe they would be better with you in our lives. As we get older, who can tell? You were such a power. Looking back and thinking with whatever wisdom comes with age, I still think we're a fraction of the people we could have been if you had the ability to remain in our lives. I wish we could have grown older together but who knows as previous friendships from youth drift apart if that would have been a reality. I think we're less without you. But. We're doing the best we can. If certain superstitions are true, maybe we'll see each other again. And if they're not, atleast we spent the time we had available together. Danielle. I miss you. Deeply.

Hey girlie,

You hold a spot in my heart that can never be replaced. You were always trying to help others before you, and you had so much fun with everyone. I still can not believe that a member of hope has gone away. You will always be with me,

love you

Danielle,

Hey babe. I miss you and I think about you every day. You are so beautiful and I will never forget how you have changed my life. You taught me so much about friendship and love and life (and to never call boys first). You were always so funny and charming and beautiful and intelligent, I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful friend. My memories of you always make me smile, and I wish more than anything that I could have more. I love you and miss you sweetheart. See you later.

Love, Ash

Frances & Stu,

My thoughts and prayers are with you everyday. Danielle was such a beautiful person inside and out. She was a shinning star thats for sure. I miss her beautiful smile and bubbly personality. Danielle was such a joy to be around. Our family will never get over the empty hole that she left, she was part of our family in a very specilal way. I hope she is watching over all of us and knows we are working to make sure justice is served.

Danielle,

How indignant Emma was when you plopped yourself down beside her on the stoop in front of our house on Chipeta. It was the first time the two of you had met, and Emma was appalled at your forwardness. Yet, you two became great friends. You were such an open, friendly and outgoing girl, and we all miss your energy in the world.

I hope, Danielle, that you check on us down here and know that we miss you and grieve you and our hearts ache for your dear, dear parents. Much love, Tracy

Danielle.....there are absolutly no words. Your friendship was the most treasured friendship in my life. My memories of our friendship run through my mind everyday, and even though we lost touch, the impact you've had on my life helped build the person i am today, and no one else could have done that. Frances and Stewart, you were my second family. I know i wasn't in contact with danielle at the end, but everyday i wish i would have been. SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL. inside and out. I loved her more then words can even express. i love you guys. SO MUCH. be strong, because i know you two, and i know you can be. i love you. and danielle.....I LOVE YOU. and miss you.

Frances and Stewart,

There are no words in any language that we can offer that will adequately express the sorrow we feel for your loss, which is indeed the world's loss. She was a beautiful girl and a wonderful person.

I know I speak for most all parents around the country when I say that justice should not be something that one should have to "hope for" from the justice system for the loss of any child -it should be, and it is, what is expected.

With all our love,

Erika and John

Danielle,

There's a hole in my heart that can never be filled. Your joy, your love of life sustained me. We shared so much, just between a dad and a daughter. I had the following published in your high school newspaper, graduation edition.

"breathe, breathe in the air

don't be afraid to care

leave, but don't leave me

look around, find your own ground

for long you'll live

and high you'll fly

and smiles you'll give

and tears you'll cry

and all you touch and all you see

is all your life will ever be"

you touched so many, and had the most warming smile, but I never thought that you would leave, so soon.

Mom & I continue to seek justice for you. We know that is what you would want.

Love, Dad

Dear Frances and Stewart,There is no justice in your loss, no matter what the legal system does tomorow. I will forever hold memories of Danielle and Emma bounding back and forth on Chipeta changing clothes with each trip when they were just little girls, the holidays we all shared at Tracy's, the bevergaes on the deck with all our kids running around... I hold those wonderful Chipeta Days and our circle of friends very dear. Tomorrow I will be holding the two of you very close in my heart, prayers and thoughts from here in the Village of Palmyra NY. I will honor the love between you both and your daughter with planting some flowers in my garden in Danielles memory tommorow. luv, Connie Cass
