Darlene Eloise Myers Nolan obituary, Colorado Springs, CO

Darlene Nolan Obituary

A lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, Darlene, known to many as "Ma Nolan", will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, sweet disposition and her amazing ability to make friends. She never met a stranger, a unique gift that she passed down to her children.

Throughout her lifetime, Darlene was a devoted caregiver to her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and so many other kids that passed through her life over the years. This brought her great joy. Her silly antics and fun nature will certainly be remembered by all the children she loved.

Darlene was a homemaker who enjoyed needlework, reading, keeping her journal and was a whiz at working her word search puzzles. Trips to Cripple Creek with her friends, rooting for her favorite sports teams and the annual Nolan Cup horseshoe tournament were also her favorite past times.

Darlene is survived by her children Cheryl Southard, Judie (Guy) Miller, Tammie (Rich) Shelton, Gary (Charlotte) Nolan, Mike (Stacey) Nolan, and Lisa (Lynn) Cowan; her beloved Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; and her siblings Betty Geertz and Lee Myers.

She was preceded in death by her husband Martin Nolan, her sons Marty and Randy Nolan, her brother Dale Myers, and her parents Edmond and Minnie Myers.

Darlene's family wishes to express their thanks to Point of the Pines Gardens. The staff's kindness and care and the friendship of the fellow residents over this past year is so greatly appreciated.

A private inurnment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.

Rest in peace Ma. We will miss you dearly and cherish our memories.
