David Bufmack Obituary

Buff, 60, native of Colorado Springs, passed on to join our Lord and Savior on September 30th. Dave graduated from Palmer High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Army, then employed with H.P. to later become successful in sales within the electronic industry. Dave was very active in playing fast pitched softball, a sport he loved. He also played on several bowling/golf leagues and coached little league baseball. Dave was a kind compassionate soul who will truly be missed by many in our community. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Andy Bufmack and mother, Veranell "Nellie" (Joyce) who later married Hank Porcelli. Dave promised to prepare a place in Heaven for his wife of 26 years, Janice (Pearson); sons, Chad, Joshua and Aaron; grandchildren, Samantha, Blake and Christian; sister, Debbie Perryman. Dave's Celebration of Life service will be held at Sunnyside Christian Church, 2025 North Murray, on Saturday , October 4th at 1:00 p.m. A dessert reception will follow at Highland Park Baptist Church, 2315 North Circle. In lieu of flowers or gifts, a memorial donation for the family may be sent to P.O. Box 8118, Colorado Springs, CO 80933.

Hello Bufmack Family,
I wanted to express my deep sympathy about David's passing, and know that you are all supporting each other as Dave supported everyone he ever met. I was fortunate to get to know Dave's boys and spend time with them as friends. Getting to know his family was a demonstration of just how great a man he was while he was with us. His smile and caring personality always brightened my day.

Janice and Boys,
We were saddened to hear the news of Dave. Some of our greatest memories of our time in Colorado Springs revolve around Dave, Janice, and the boys - playing cards and games on Friday nights was a highlight. We haven't found anyone who plays games with as much enthusiasm as you guys. We know Dave will be missed, but also know that he is rejoicing in heaven. His kindness, his gentle spirit, his beautiful smile will all be things to remember with fondness. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Janice, as well as with the boys.

Much love,

I was lucky enough to do some business with Dave and Slyline and then Western Elec. for a short time. Our sons were both attending CSU at the time. I have to say that Dave was one of those persons that no matter the type of day you were having, Dave had the ability to change it just by smiling at you and then once you started talking it was like the bad day never happened. I will miss the joy he brought ot me with just a smile and pray that you all get strength from your faithg that Dave is much better now and will always be with you, and if you watch closely for the little things, he will geive you signs that he's OK...
God Bless you!

Janice and Family --- I am saddened to hear today of Dave's passing. I knew him back in the HP days and I think he typifies what was so special about The HP Way. I can't help but smile when I think back to Cec Ray's retirement roast --- Dave's portrayal of a slightly deranged Abraham Lincoln returning to offer a Presidential Pardon to Cec for his banking misdeeds was nothing short of classic.

Janice,
My prayers are with you and your sons. May your memories give you comfort. Buff was a terrific and delightful person who I was fortunate to know since I was a young teen. Remember, it's not the date of his birth, or the date of his death ... it's what he did with the --dash in between. What matters is how we live and love, and how we spend our dash.

Buff was one of the best... We played softball for Hewlett Packard back in the early 70's. He was a great left handed hitter but an even better friend and teammate...

My deepest sympathy to Dave's family. And, Dave....I will always cherish those lunch times talking about God and how He touched our lives each and every day. Many days such lunch breaks gave me renewed energy and hope to face my daily challenges. You were the one to pray with me when I heard that "C' word myself. You were the one to tell me God does not give us more than we can handle. You were the one that told me sometimes He even has a sense of humor. I loved that laugh of yours, that caring sensitive listening you showed to me. But most of all, Dave, everyone who knew you was touched by you and identified a man who walked in God's word. I will dearly miss you but know we will meet one day to all live forever in heaven. Job well done here on earth. May God bless and keep you in his arms. Rest easy, you know we will be here for your family.

To the Bufmack Family:
I worked with Buff for a number of years when I worked at Plasmon and I found him to be the most honest, funny, and nicest vendor to ever walk the halls of Plasmon. While he was waiting for an employee, he and I would talk about my family, your family and cars. I knew Dave was sick before I left Plasmon and tried to keep in touch with the other employees but I wanted to let you know what a great guy Buff was while I was at Plasmon.

My condolences to the Bufmack family. I worked at HP in the late 60's and my son Kurt Haring was born about the same time as Dave's son. I don't know where the years have gone and I am saddened by Dave's death.

Sincerely,

My heart goes out to the Bufmack family in this time of loss, but I must also rejoice with them as David is spending eternity with our Lord and Savior.
Our Dad’s were very close friends and had worked together in the late 1940’s & early 1950’s. Even after the death of my Dad, and as we were growing up the Bufmack family stayed connected with us girls. It has been many years since I have seen David, but I understand that over those years David became a man of God who loved the Lord, loved and adored his wife and family. My prayers and thoughts are with the Bufmack family.

Debbie you are also on my heart at this time, for I know David was a “Wonderful” big brother to you.

God Bless – Vicki (Marsh) Roberts

I lost one of my best friends in Buff. He and I came to the Lord at about the same time and our lives were changed for good. In our later years our friendship deepened and became more meaningful. He was a true man of God and will be missed until we meet again in heaven.
