I remember David as a nine-year old in Apple Valley, CA. Jim was my husband, Chuck´s squadron commander. He and Janet were friends. I was so sorry to hear of David´s passing. He certainly packed a lot into his life. May God´s comfort be with you all, Jan, Jim, and Colleen.

We are so very heartbroken for the loss of such a wonderful man who enriched so many other people´s lives. We send our prayers and love to all of the family and many friends. I was only fortunate enough to have spent time with Dave a couple of times and could easily see why he was such a treasured friend to so many, Mike especially.
Dave was the best man in our wedding. As Mike recently said, "if we were to have to choose a best man today, it would still be Dave" after 25 years. The tragedy is that we are never prepared and always wish for more time. Lovingly, Lisa Peebles

Dave will be missed. I worked with Dave setting up MAFFS operations for the southern Idaho US Forest Service and BLM fire seasons in 2010. He was always friendly and engaging, and was a total no nonsense aviator. He was always safety first, and took enormous pride in the C-130 firefighting mission.
I will miss his laughter and banter! Godspeed Dave~
My heartfelt condolences to Dave's family. I know very little can cleanse the pain you must feel. Please know he was respected and honored by those who had the benefit of learning from this great man.
