RIP Dave, we 1st met in 1995 working on CO's MNT Internet Program. The BEANPOLE part of the program brought technology to the San Luis Valley Frontier. Little did they know where and what technology and the Internet would bring the "Wild Frontier". Hang in there Cursor Cowboy, some of us are still here pushing the rock up the hill. Richard

Thank you Col David Hughes for your service to this country and for you insight and contributions to the advancement of telecommunications in Colorado. I am particularly grateful for your interest and involvement in promoting the use of telecommuinications technology in Colorado. I knew Col. Hughes well enough to call him Dave and met with him several times in Colorado Springs during this states movement to expand telecommunications facilities in schools across Colorado. We first met at the cafe on Colorado Avenue in 1996 where he had "Col. Hughes" table equipped with a port to a server in a nearby building. After that I met him at his home on 24th St or at La Baguette where we would exchange greetings and ideas and he would regale me with his experiences and exhault in the adventures of his namesake son in China. RIP Dave Hughes.
