David Igou Obituary

David L.R. Igou, 73, passed away on Thursday, 26 Nov 09, of terminal cancer. He was born to the late Harley Hathaway Igou and Lela Roxana on 24 November 1936 in Butler, MO. David proudly served in the U.S. Army for 22 years, retiring from active duty in April of 1973. After traveling in the service of his country, he elected to settle down and call Widefield, Colorado home in November 1972. He then persued his 2nd career with Harrison School District #2, where he again retired in May of 2005. He was married to Rosemarie H.E. Hauser for 27 years. David is survived by 5 children: Duane & Suzan of Valdosta, GA., Dale & Denet of Visalia, CA., Mark & Cyndi of Widefield, CO., Ray Igou & Timothy Downen of Nevada, MO., and Hans & Vickey of Colorado Springs, CO. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings are: Elaine Bough, Virgil Jones, Paul Igou, Ray Igou, and Gene Igou. David also has 3 sisters and 1 brother predeceased. Viewing for family and friends will be held on 2 Dec 09 from 9am-11am at Swan-Law Funeral Home of Colorado Springs. Funeral services will follow at 11am. David will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery. He will be missed by those who loved and cherished him in life!
