TSGT David Lindemuth, passed away on December 23, 2018, in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 82. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 43 years. Born on December 8, 1936 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to George and Nancy Lindemuth, who are deceased. David married Elsa (Sue) A. Parker on December 31, 1959 in Lackland, Texas. Elsa passed away after 40 years of marriage.
"Strange but true story, one night while getting ready for bed, my roommate, Charlie came in and asked me to go out for a coffee. We went to Cassie's Drive Inn, across from Security Field in San Antonio, Texas. Naturally, we parked next to a car that had two girls inside. The girls names were Sue & Ann Marie, both were stationed at Lackland Air Force Base. Three months later, I married Sue. Six months later, Charlie married Ann Marie".
After 22 years in the Air Force as an electronic technician and supervisor, he received many decorations from the Navy and Air Force generals, including one from the Secretary of Defense while working in Okinawa. David also received many letters of appreciation while working at the Pentagon for 5 years. David joined Litton Data Systems, as an associate engineer for 18 years, working on military contracts.
David was a member of the Moose Lodge #244. He was a former President and member of the Pikes Peak Lions Club. He was known as "Big Dave" to many people.
David also loved all the people at the Farside Lounge, which use to be Mary's Lounge, located at 4375 Airport Road. David loved camping with his late wife and son. His favorite dogs were Jullie, Rosie & Ashley.

David and I were best friends from the time I moved to Reading, Pennsylvania just after World War 2 (1945) until I moved away at Christmastime 1950. We had lots and lots of fun on our bicycles and went to the Strand Theater on Saturdays for the main features and then an hour of cartoons. We were in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts together as well as both attending 13th & Union Grade School and Northeast Junior High School. I moved to Sioux City, Iowa in the 8th grade. I will always remember my fun childhood pal. If you go to my Facebook page you can see two pictures of David from those days. I found David some years ago in Colorado Springs and stopped by there a few times on my way from Arizona to Denver to visit my kids in Colorado. He was a nice boy who grew into a nice man. He knew pain, suffering the deaths of his wife and son. God rest your soul, David.
