David Matterson Obituary
A Colorado Springs Native, he worked at Peak Meat Company . Chrissy Fowler Lumber, Colorado Springs Park and Recreation, and Colorado Springs Utilities as a foreman for Electric T & D Substations, retiring after 35 years of service.
Dave was a compassionate caring man who always helped anyone in need. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, watching wrestling, stock car racing, and being a jokester who would torment any family member or friends. He loved parties, barbeque's, getting together for the neighborhood that included blocking the street for
block parties.
Survivors include Jackie Masterson, daughters Tonie Masterson and Bonnie Bergland (Clint), grandchildren Matthew, Justin, Tiffany, Misty, and Desiree, great grandchildren Rayna, Leland, Mia, Audrey, Gabby, and Angela, two step children Sara and Chris, along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a long time best friend and partner in crime George Dillon.
A celebration of life will be held at Memorial Gardens Chapel on Saturday February 14, 2015 at 10:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Steve Burford of Cathedral Rock Church. Reception to follow at Memorial Gardens Chapel .

My dear friend. We were connected as teenagers and had so much fun. Bill called you my honcho. I called you my best friend.
For some reason we lost touch with each other in our 20's.
Last week you were heavy on my heart and I was looking on FB to see if I could find you. Bob Garrett called me today and said you had passed away. I am so sorry I didn't look harder for you.
We will meet again in heaven my special friend.

Spent many fishing and hunting trips with Dave. Time spent at Haetsel Co. Playing poker just having a good time. Worked with Dave for over 20 years I enjoyed the time spent very rewarding. Dave was a friend and sure he will be missed by everyone! I greave your lose but he is in a better place now. Always marvin.
