David Miesse Obituary

David L. Miesse, age 52, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1987, passed away after a sudden illness, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.

David L. Miesse was born July 11, 1962 in Elgin, Illinois to Lowell and Janet (Voegele) Miesse. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps and had worked for many years as a building manager for Colorado Springs School District 11.

David was an avid Broncos Football fan, loved fishing and playing disk golf. He was a 1980 graduate of East Peoria High School.

He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

On August 20, 1994, he married Corrie Denkscherz in Colorado Springs.

He is survived by his wife, Corrie Miesse; and two daughters, Lynzie Denkscherz and Stephanie Miesse.

David was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jack Bauer; and his brother, Michael Miesse.

Visitation, 12:00PM-2:00PM, Sunday, July 20, 2014, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs.

Interment of cremated remains will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a future date.

Memorials in David's name may be made to the David Miesse Memorial Fund in care of UMB Bank, 730 Citadel Drive E., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.

Dave was such a wonderful man! I remember my first visit to Rudy Summer of 2013 when it was closed and we chatted for a while about how much he loved Rudy and the students. He was so kind and welcoming to my kindergartener. You will be missed by many.
