David Redmon Obituary

David Alan Redmon, age 55, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away April 19, 2007, at home. Dave was born August 26, 1951 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He spent his youth in Tekamah, Nebraska and enlisted in the United States Air Force after high school. Following his service in the Air Force, he returned to the University of Nebraska and joined the ROTC. He was the Distinguished Military Graduate of his class and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. While serving in the Army, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Achievement Medal. He was Airborne-qualified and was extremely proud of his more than 20 years as an Armor Officer. Dave is survived by his wife of 28 years, Connie, and his two daughters, Shannon and Kelsey. His parents, George and Wilma (Mueller) Redmon, preceded him in death. He was active in the Sunrise Church choir and musical ensemble, New Dimension. He will be remembered for his fun-loving personality, quick wit and easy smile, and will be missed by family, friends and all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunrise Methodist Church in Colorado Springs. Interment will be at a later date at Ft. Logan in Denver, CO. In lieu of flowers, a college fund has been established for his daughters at US Bank - Chapel Hills Branch. All donations in his memory to the "Shannon and Kelsey Redmon College Fund LLC" are greatly appreciated.
