David Rosemond Obituary

David Elias Rosemond, 83, retired Msgt, beloved father and grandfather, passed away in his home on Thursday, November 24, 2005. David arrived in Colorado Springs in 1959, where he was stationed at Ent Air Force Base as a member of the United States Air Force. It was Colorado Springs he made his home. He was born February 11, 1922 in Columbia, SC. to Mr. J.E. Rosemond and Mrs. Lula (Jackson) Rosemond. He was preceded in death by sisters: Ruby Rosemond, Francina Rosemond and Carolyn Grate; and brothers: James Rosemond and Frederick Rosemond, all of Columbia, SC. David enjoyed fishing, camping, sports, reading and had a special interest invarious types of music. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He attended Booker T. Washington, Columbia SC., Atlanta University and worked as an Administrator, Management Analyst and in Personnel in the Unites States Air Force. He also worked for Silver Key Senior Services as Trasportation and Recreation Coordinator and was a Real Estate salesman in Colorado Springs. He had professional memberships with the Denver Board of Realtors, National Professional Salesmen's Association, Colorado Association of Real Estate Board, and the National Association of Real Estate Boards. He participated in the Boy Scouts of America, Order of the Arrow, Order of the Black Eyed Donkey and was a seven time Elks Exalted Ruler. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter, Rochelle Renee Rosemond of Colorado Springs, CO; stepdaughter, Marsha Christine Williams of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren: Courtneigh Andrea Rosemond and Joachim Elias Rosemond of Colorado Springs, CO. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, relatives, extended relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2005 at Angelus Funeral Directors, 2535 Airport Rd.
