Dear Sue,
I had no idea that David was ill. I have not seen you both in a couple of months at Second Sunday. My heart felt sorrow goes out to you and your family. I will never forget how David came over where I usually seat and was wondering how I was.....His kindness has stayed in my heart and I will always remember him. You both looked so happy together. You both reminded me of Rom and me. I am so glad to have known both of you. Please know that I am here if you wish to talk. Much love to you and your family.

I can't believe Dave is not here in body now. I can feel him at peace though.
I will always remember Dave when we were little (his nieces and nephews) on Umbarger Road in Muncie, Indiana. We would all run to the door to greet jolly Dave when we heard he was coming to visit; he always showed such sincere interest in us and our well-being. My condolences to Sue, Jennifer, and David, Jr. I can't imagine the loss they must be feeling right now; but I do know Jesus suffered the same feelings of grief when here on earth (read the story of Lazarus) so HE knows what you are going through and HE can comfort you the best. Remember what Jesus said to Lazarus: "Take off his (Lazarus's/David Vandegriff's) grave clothes and release him from his tomb"
