Dear Mrs/Mr Wilk and Michelle, (Cissy and children as well - although I have not met you),
My sincerest condolences to all of you on the loss of David. I remember David as a very good, nice young boy growing up. Through the years, Michelle has kept me up to date on David and he has truly made his family proud as well as his country. I know you all miss him and will always miss him. Be certain he has left his footprints in this world. Be certain he is watching over and protecting all of you.
I am just devastated by this news. Words fail me. Know my family and I are praying for all of you.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilk, Michelle, Cissy and their 4-legged children - our prayers go out to you and the world for the loss of a great man, a wonderful leader, and a friend to all that had the opportunity to meet him. Dave and Cissy are some of our oldest friends and I can only hope that these entries comfort you all to know how he touched the lives of many around the world. Heaven is lucky to have him as we all were.

Cissy, I am so sorry about Dave, he was a friend, a comrade, a teammate and a leader. And very sorry that I could not make it to the funeral. My thoughts and my heart are there with you. I'm so glad now that I got to see you both at the 50th SF Anniversary Ball.

Dear Cousins, I wish we could all wake up and find this never happened. It is so unfair that this disease took our beloved David so young. I was proud that he was family and how he served our country rising up through the ranks so quickly. David was always so talented with a creativity and passion for everything he undertook. We'll all miss him but now have another angel to watch over us.

What an honor it was to know Dave and care for him as one of his nurses at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center. He dealt with his disease with courage and grace throughout often difficult treatment. He always had a smile and a wonderful sense of humor. Cissy, know that he was very much loved by all of us and we will miss him.
