I didn't know you that well but your mother is an awesome person and you both were very lucky to be so close to each other as mother and son! I will miss seeing your mom at the GW parking lot for the car shows and that is how I got to know you. You were a true fighter and such a nice guy! David, you were the ultimate fighter. The lessons I learned from you are so deep and will always be with me. I can only take each day as a gift as you did and try to be the best I can..in sickness I draw stregnth from your example. You live in the hearts of many.

Thank you to everyone that was a part of David's life. All of you had a part in making David who he was. He may have been my son, but I did look up to him and still do. How many people, young and old, do you know that would go through chemo M-T-W then go to school or work for the rest of the week. He was....no he is an inspiration to all of us. This morning I was laying on the couch, missing him on this 1st anniversary of his death, when all of a sudden I heard, Mom get up, they need you at work. Hurry up. I went in and sure enough they were shorthanded. David never missed a day of school in 18 years! He only missed work a few times and the times he did, usually his boss Mike had to send him home because he was getting sick from the chemo. David would go home and come back a few hours later saying he was fine. I remember the Doctors telling him to slow down and he told them, "what do you want me to do....wait around to die." They gave David 4-6 months to live and he amazed everyone, including the specialist and lived 2 1/2 years! Live you life like David did........live it to the fullest.
