Dawn was a wonderful friend for a brief time in the 80's. We began graduate school together in Illinois and had many days filled with silliness and laughter. While I'm late in learning of her passing, my heart hurts for her family and the loss that they've experienced. Dawn was a true blessing to me those many years ago.

It has been years since I have seen Dawn, but she is an unfaded memory of a cheerful, happy, spirited person who just made you feel good to be around. I remember seeing Dawn in the high school hallway and thinking that she was so upbeat it seemed like her full weight never touched the ground, that her joy just carried her. Prayers for those she left behind.

Dawn lived down the hill from me as we grew up.She was a yr older than I, so I hung out with her sister Debbie. But I will always remember either swimming in there pool or ours, having sleepovers at there house as young kids.Just plain hanging out with the whole Winkleman family. I am so sad to hear about the passing of Dawn, my Thoughts and Prayers are with you all in Orland Park.

Some of my greatest childhood memories involved Dawn. She was one with poise and inspiration during our group outings and I looked up to her. Our moms did a fabulous job of taking all of us kids on group outings to form many memories and some life long friendships. My heart and prayers go out to her family, siblings and parents.

I am so saddened to hear this news; Dawn and I were friends in high school. I've thought of her many times since then, her ever-present smile and a laugh that I can still hear today. My prayers are with her family.

I worked with Dawn at Patriot Learning Center. She was overworked, having several schools to cover, yet never complained. Dawn took pride in her thoroughness and knowledge in her nursing job and it showed. She was always willing to attend an extra meeting or personally talk to students, parents and teachers about health issues. Dawn had lost her hair when I had to undergo some medical tests. She was so gracious and caring about my circumstances, shrugging her shoulders and refusing to comment about her difficulties. Whenever we had a chance she would love talking about her family and how much they meant to her. I am glad you were all together when the angels carried her to heaven. My prayers continue to be with all of you.

When I first met Dawn, we were kids and our moms wanted us to experience culture. We went from zoos to camping together to every experience that they could give us. Dawn was always so positive and inspiring. There isn't a week that goes by that I don't think about those experiences. My heart goes out to her children, siblings and parents. My thoughts & prayers are with you all. God Bless You!

Dawn was a wonderful person and nurse. I valued the time that I was honored to work with her as a nurse in Falcon School District. Her nursing instincts were awesome and whenever she spoke of her family... she smiled from head to toe! I am so sorry for your loss. May GOD give you comfort and peace.

Dawn raised three wonderful children, who she was very proud of and loved very much.

She fought a hard battle to the very end. What a courageous person she was. I saw her last December at Lissie's dance recital and she looked beautiful and was very positive in spite of the cancer.

Vince, Lissie and Paula our thoughts are with you. We love you very much.

Dawn always had a positive attitude and a smile for those she worked with. Her excellent job of parenting was reflected in the kindness her daughters showed to those around them on a daily basis. She will be missed. The family is in my prayers.
