Dean Garcia Obituary

Dean Garcia, age 62, a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, died on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a loving son, stepson, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He had retired from a career in roofing and worked many enjoyable years with Home Depot.

Dean Anthony Garcia was born on December 13, 1954 in Colorado Springs to the late Fermin "Bill" and Flora Abeyta Garcia. He grew up in a military family and graduated from high school in Karlsruhe, Germany.

He was an Air Force veteran and worked in the roofing industry for many years. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed playing pool, playing guitar, and rock and roll and blues music. He will be best remembered for his quiet demeanor and the time he spent as a bounty hunter.

He is survived by his brother, F. Robert "Butch" (Donna) Garcia of Pueblo; his sister, Darlene A. (Mel) Cramm of Colorado Springs; his stepfather, Bob Rogers of Colorado Springs; two nieces and three nephews; and a host of friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Garcia, and his mother, Flora Rogers.
