Delaney was my friend on the Facebook monitor site... We messaged frequently about music he was a guru. Also my daughter was hospitalized last year and he was a friend to me and someone to talk to because music was my outlet... he was my friend.
We both realized we met years ago at Ground Zero.. I remember seeing him there frequently and at the Annex.. I remember him DJing but I'd only met him there a couple times. He has been a wonderful blessing to me and my hard times as I'd turn to that site and his posts and all of the other ones involved in the group and it uplifted me and kept me strong and always inspired me because it was music I hadn't heard of and I thought I knew that underground scene. LOL I'm grateful to have known him my prayers are with his family and I hope to be able to come to the celebration on Tuesday. Thank you Delaney for blessing my life I will miss you!

Delaney always had the song I wanted to hear. When I transplanted from Europe he had actually heard of the bands I loved, some very obscure. He always kept it real. Although it had been years since I had seen him and we weren't close I will never forget him.

Delaney probably wouldn't remember me or know the impact he had on me. At an influential time in my life he was a face of authenticity, courage, and kindness. He was a role model for many of us "kids" at the Annex and shaped more than just our taste in music. Now, as a social worker and an advocate for social justice and equality, I look back on Delaney and those like him who helped me to become the person who does this work and holds these views. I have fond memories of requesting the songs that he would sometimes lovingly and sometimes begrudgingly play as I found my escape on the dance floor. I am half reluctant to share my memories feeling that I did know him well enough to deserve to do so. I choose to because I believe it is a testament to how meaningful he was to so many people and I hope that this brings joy to those who I imagine grieve deeply his loss. Wishing peace to you all.

Delaney was a cherished friend of my daughter, Lisa Amend. they sometimes did DJ work together. He was loved by her, myself, her family and friends. Such a free, kind spirit. A hole has been left in our hearts that can never be filled. We will always miss him.

Loved when I could come up to the DJ booth and say,"Can you play the song that sounds like this.....". You made everything fade away when I was dancing. How much fun we all had. Glad to be a small part of your life. Sam's sister.

Delaney, I miss you so much. I don't know if I ever told you how your friendship and love shaped my life, and made me into the person that I am. I don't know if I ever told you how your friendship saved my life. I love you so much. I will forever hold you in my heart.

Delaney and KRCC gave me and many other volunteers a chance to serve and be on the air. I'm glad Colorado had him even though his time was too short. I only wish I had had the good fortune to have known him better. Rest in peace Delaney.

I remember so clearly all these years later Delaney often coming by my classroom to see his little sister Lisa. What a good big brother. So sad for your family's loss. Delaney contributed much to our community. In later years I have been proud to say "i knew him when he was a kind and conscientious little boy who grew up to be a respected and admired young man."
