Della Smart Obituary

Della Smart RN, passed away October 26, 2010 in Lakewood, Colorado. She was born on July 9, 1925, in Maroa, Illinois. Della was a dedicated nurse who received her training in the Army Nurses Corps in 1945. In 1946, she married Charles William Smart Sr. Bill and Della moved to Colorado Springs in 1957 where she was a labor and delivery nurse at Glockner-Penrose hospital for 19 years. Della is survived by sisters, Joan of Forsythe, IL and Bonnie of Springfield, IL, son, Charles W. Smart, Jr. (Pamela) of Colorado Springs, daughter, Debbra L. Parker (Dennis) of Lakewood, grandson, Cody Parker (Emily), granddaughter, Cassandra (David) and great-grandson, Brayden. Della was preceded in death by both her parents, husband, Bill Smart and grandson, Clint Parker. Arrangements have been entrusted to Allnutt Funeral Services, 650 Drake Rd. Fort Collins, Colorado. Visitation will be at the Allnutt facility on Sunday, October 31 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at the Alnutt facility on Monday November 1, 2010, At 1:00 pm, followed by a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 8426 S Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO.
