Denis Leblond Obituary
Denis Jacques Leblond, age 57 (28 for a few decades now), returned to the Father on January 27, 2014. He was born in Boulogne Billancourt, France, on April 11 to the late Maurice and Jacqueline Leblond. He married Rosemary Theresa Ross on September 20, 1980. Denis had an illustrious career that spanned 3 decades. He moved to Allentown when he joined Mack Trucks in 1999 as Executive Vice President, Manufacturing. In 2008, having long worked in industry, Denis decided to retire to serve the poor and needy. He and Rosemary moved, with their two youngest children Bernadette and Gabriel, to Bucharest in Romania. They returned to Allentown in 2010, where he served as the Executive Director of Fidesco USA. Denis lived life to the fullest, and had no greater joy than spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a doting father and grandfather who enjoyed treating his grandchildren to ice cream, building legos with them, and teaching them everything he knew. His love for his wife was exemplary and a true model for those around him. Survivors: Denis is survived by his wife, Rosemary, children Paul and wife Camille, Catherine and husband Jimmy, Marc and wife Stephanie, Patrick and wife Emily, Bernadette, and Gabriel, and grandchildren Emmanuel, Eliott, Laureline, Penelope, and Samuel. Services: Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church. Arrangements by J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown, www.jsburkholder.com. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Denis name to Fidesco USA (www.fidescousa.org) of which Denis was Executive Director.

25 years ago he brought his family from Paris to Stuttgart to share in the baptism of our first grandson Jonathan. It was such a surprise and such a blessing to have all of them there. They made it even more joyful occasion by setting off a rocket next to the freeway. We will never forget the LeBlond Friendship and their commitment to our faith.God bless you all.

Denis was a powerful force in our lives. We traveled to France with his family and saw the France that his family took him as a boy.
He sponsored Orren to become a Catholic. He introduced Laura and Rob to the {if necessary}5 door method of parenting a crying baby.His laughter was infectious and he taught us to enjoy TODAY. All our love and prayers to the family from your other family in California.
