Dennis was a terrific neighbor, always outgoing, friendly and helpful in every way. On cold winter days, he would get out his snow blower and after clearing his own driveway would clear ours, too! He and Carla created a lovely yard, filled with flowers. He was a gracious host, and he loved his family tremendously. He is so very missed.

Dennis was a lesson in happiness. He always had a smile on his face and something nice to say no matter how tired he was commuting home from a trip. I will miss him.

Carla and family, I am saddened to hear of Dennis passing. We knew you from the dance studio when our girls were small. Dennis was such a good person, so easy going, hard working, honorable. I know you'll miss him dearly, but I'm sure there are just tons of happy memories from the fulfilling life you guys had together all these years.

Living so close to Dennis and Carla for all these years, they've felt closer to us than so many blood relatives. We watched his kids grow up and we were overjoyed that Dennis and Carla let us share in Erin's big day.

Dennis was like our stand-in big brother for Jane and I. He was always ready to help us with anything we ever needed. As I'd sit in my house, struggling with something electrical, plumbing or whatever, Jane would walk over and say, "Why don't you just go ask Dennis?" And I would. . . and he'd help.

This is taking a little longer now that the tears have started again . . .

And he never ribbed me too badly with all those Army loses to Air Force during all those Novembers.

He was a wonderful man, exemplary husband and father . . . a true gentleman and friend and he will be deeply missed.
