Dennis Hendricks Obituary

Dennis "Dan" Hendricks passed away May 28, 2007 at home after a short battle with cancer. He was born on February 7, 1946 in California to William and Geraldine Hendricks. In 1972 he moved to Colorado Springs with his wife Mary. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister Sharon. He is survived by his wife Mary, son Seth Hendricks, daughter Marnie Soares and her husband Rick, and many other relatives. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on June 1, 2007 at Cappadona Funeral Home. Cremation is planned. A reception celebrating Dennis and his love of life will follow at the family home. Dennis was a caring and loving man who made friends wherever he went. His one regret was not being able to attend the upcoming birth of his first grandchild. It was Dennis' wish that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Baby Soares College Education Fund c/o First Bank, 1275 Garden of the Gods Rd.

Mary,
You probably don't remember me as a long time ago Dennis worked for me at TRW. He was a great guy and everyone who came into contact with him respected and admired him. He'll be missed and our prayers are with him

Mary, Marni, and Seth,

Dennis was a dear man who we all fell in love with immediately the first time we met him. It truly was a blessing to us that he became a part of our family. We will always remember his joy and laughter at Ric’s and Marni’s wedding; and who can forget John’s wet pants from Dennis spilling his water in his lap. May your memories bring you comfort during this time.

We love you all>

Mary,

I am not sure if you remember us, but we worked with Dennis at Compuware in Colorado Springs when Brenda was his manager. We now live in Denver.

We are so sorry and shocked to hear about Dennis. He was a wonderful person, and we will remember him as being very cheery, kind, smart, and a talented technical writer. We both really liked him. Our condolences to you and your family.

Kind regards,
Rick and Brenda Schulze

My family and I met Dennis last summer, planning Marnie's wedding. We had a lovely lunch at Olive Garden eating yummy soup and delicious breadsticks and salad. Later we shared our company days preceding and during Marnie & Rick's Wedding. The day of the Wedding the Bridal party got ready in my home. I will never forget the sense of pride and joyful glow Dennis had when Marnie came down the stairs in her wedding dress. Grinnig from ear to ear and almost tearful. This is the mental picture that will stay with me when I think of him. May his memory be eternal. God Bless.
