Devin Winchell Obituary

Devin Tayler Winchell, raised in Oak Ridge North, Texas was killed in a car accident in Coleman, Texas on Monday, July 2, 2012.

Born in Houston, Texas, December 16, 1988 to Lee and Stacy Winchell, Devin was an intelligent and thoughtful young man. His unique sense of humor, compassion and friendship touched everyone he knew.

He was a devoted friend and loved his friends and family deeply. Devin received his Bachelors degree in History in May 2012, from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

Devin was an avid outdoor adventurer. He and his friends were hiking the canyons, or hiking in the woods as often as possible. Devin was an excellent chef; he rode his bike with his friends frequently; he enjoyed foreign films, and he loved his dog Stubbs. Where ever Devin was, Stubbs was with him.

Devin is survived by his father Lee Winchell and his wife Lydia, his mother Stacy Light Winchell, his sister Channing Hockman and her husband Chris. His Grandmothers Sharon Light, Pam Light, Bettitina Mortellito and Ruth Spence. His Grandfathers Jerry Light and Rex Winchell.

Devin is also survived by numerous Great Aunts and Uncles, Aunts and Uncles, cousins and friends. Harvey Light, Judy Bastian, Ron and Phyllis Tonkin, Shirley Reed, Jim Winchell, Mark Light, Valerie Richey, Paula Light, Paula Jaynes, Shelby Light, Hannah Light, Chandler Light, Sherri and Phil Harrelson, Sharon Macias, Justin, Nathan and Jonathan Harrelson, Temple Meeks, and Todd Tonkin.

Devin is survived by his girlfriend Maret Mouton. Devin' best friends were numerous, to name a few, Ross DeGreve, Tim Kologinczak, Roberto Vega III, Grant Hollowell and many more.

Devin's closest companion was Stubblefield Coddington Winchell the Third.

Services were held at the Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia, Texas on July 6, 2012. Devin was buried on the cemetery grounds of the funeral home.

While we know Devin is with God, our hearts are shattered. He will always be loved and missed like no other.

You don't know me and I have not met Devin but I am Ross DeGreve's grandmother. My heart is so sorrowful for your loss. From what I have heard of Devin from both Ross Sr. and Ross Jr. he was an outstanding person. I am so sorry! Carolyn DeGreve
