Diana Aycock Obituary

Diana Aycock, 81, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, peacefully passed away in her Colorado Springs home on January 18, 2016.

She was a proud and opinionated New Yorker, born in the Bronx, August 28,1934 to renown opera tenor, Pasquale Ferrara and "seamstress to the stars", Pauline (nee Hacker).

Her bright blue eyes lit up the room and her laughter was infectious. She was a stay-at-home mother, raising her five children across the US - Alaska, Florida and even Japan. She served her country by fearlessly supporting her husband, Maj. Jack C. Aycock, his fellow test/fighter pilots, their wives and children. When recently asked what her biggest accomplishment was … Diana replied with a warm smile… " being a mother".

She will be greatly missed and is survived by her children; Linda (Mike), Patti , Janet (Rick), Michael, Lisa (Jim); grandchildren; Tiffany (Aidan), Christopher (Emilia), Heather (Glenn), Adam (Tami), Brooke (Danny), Laura (Chris), Joe, Jack and Jess; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in law,  Arlene and many on-line friends.

She is preceded in death by husband, Jack; sister, Tina and granddaughter, Chelsey.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  To honor our mother, please support your local library.

Grandma Princess Diana,
You taught me mind over matter, not to concern myself with looking back and most importantly make sure i smile through it all. Also how to pretend to smear peanut butter on a light bulb. The basics of a Princess Diana wave.
Love you always; Your Dopey
