Diane Cameron Obituary
Mrs. Cameron was born in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Education. She was a school teacher in Des Moines, before deciding to stay home with her children when they were young. She was very active with the Junior League of Des Moines.
After remarrying and moving to Colorado Springs, she served as an executive at the Chemins Company. She was a proud active member of the Broadmoor Community Church for 35 years, playing in their bell choir and serving on various committees and boards. She was a member of the Colorado Springs Liquor Control Board during the 1980s.
Mrs. Cameron was fortunate to have many, many friends. She was known to exude love and make people feel good, meeting every situation with a smile and her trademark laugh. She traveled the world with her beloved husband Jim. They visited places such as Cuba, Italy, Ireland, Russia, France, Holland and many other places around the United States and the world. She loved entertaining and hosted many parties for friends and business guests.
She was very active in the lives of her children and grandchildren, attending their school activities, baseball and softball games and graduations.
A celebration of her life will be held at Broadmoor Community Church at 3 pm on May 24.
Attendees of that service will be invited to further celebrate her life at the Broadmoor Hotel at 4:30.

Diane was a very special person to me.
I had the privilege of meeting & getting to know The Cameron's when I started taking care of the Plants in their home in 2005. Little did I know that would result in me growing to Love both Diane & Jim.
My parents died long ago, & Diane & Jim became the ones I looked to for advice and guidance with important life decisions.
Diane would listen quietly, to me ranting and raging while I watered plants....and then , I can see her soft pretty smile, caring eyes, and hear her say " Well....this is what I would do"..... So, so many times her cool collected advice saved me...
I'll forever carry a piece of Diane in my heart....I loved her so much...I never got to tell her how to this day I treasured our time together, & she was one of the most Eloquent, beautiful women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
The world lost a star, my deepest condolences Jim, I love you, God bless you.

Jim, I can't imagine the pain you are going through. I'm so sorry for your loss, Diane was a great person that cared for everyone she came across especially with her smile. Dear Jim,
We are so sorry for your loss. There is nothing that can prepare you for the death of a loved one, especially someone so full of life as Diane. The only consolation is that she will not suffer anymore. We hold onto that thought and that makes it bearable.
