Diana Marie Jones born August 17th, 1957 to the union of Matthew and Bealuh Andrews in Shelby, Mississipi. At the age of 16 Diane moved from little town in Mississipi to California to help her older siblings.
Diane accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. She was born a giver to anyone who asked for her help. She learned early in age that she wanted to help. She was hands on with all her nephews and nieces. This is what inspired Diane to become a nurse. She did attend Nursing School in California and graduated. Being a caregiver is what she loved.
She then moved from California to Colorado and fell in love with a retired Sergeant Cornelius Jones. Some say soulmates as they shared the same birthday. They then went on to build a legacy for their children.
Diane loved movies, bowling, cards and most of all throwing a good cookout. Devoted to her church she was an usher and became head of the church pantry where she fed thousands of families.
Diane's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. The words used to describe Diane were Christian, loyal, faithful, loving, magnificent, truthful, grateful, funny and hard worker.
The visitation will be held on June 20, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory located at 1104 S. Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. The service will be held on June 21, 2023 at 9:30 am at True Spirit Baptist Church located at 5120 Astrozon Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80916. The Interment will be held on June 21, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Pikes Peak National Cemetery located at 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.
