Dianne S. Mercado Obituary

Dianne S. Mercado, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away surrounded by love on December 18, 2015, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dianne was born in Madison, Ohio, August 17, 1958, the second of three children born to Arthur (late) and Lillian Hampton. Dianne was an RN who had worked at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. She studied at Pikes Peak Community College and graduated in 1991. She worked in various medical areas both as an LPN and RN. She lived in Leesburg, Florida until she met and married Jorge L. Mercado on January 28, 1983. Dianne and Jorge moved to Colorado Springs in 1987.

Dianne enjoyed spending time with her family, precious grandchildren, music, singing in the church choir, quilting, pets, and laughing. She had the most amazing and infectious laugh and she loved to laugh even when sick. She was always so full of life. She made a loving impression on anyone she came across, even in just one brief interaction.

Dianne leaves behind her, devoted husband, Jorge Mercado; two loving daughters, Jennifer Mercado of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Michelle (Stephen Jr.) Preble of Colorado Springs, Colorado; five beautiful grandchildren, Alex, Aiden, Elizabeth, Adison, and Dylan; her mother Lillian Hampton, her siblings Donna Malone and Arthur Hampton Jr.; as well as a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, friends and family.

A private family viewing will take place Monday, December 28, 2015. Final placement of her Urn will be done at the Memorial Gardens.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at HeartSong Ministries, 5660 North Academy Boulevard Colorado Springs, CO 80918. Flowers can be sent to Memorial Service at HeartSong Ministries on 9 January 2015 at 11:00 am.
