Dion Parlade Kerns Sr. Obituary
Dion was a genuine, compassionate, loving, Christian man. He had an indomitable optimism, a wonderful sense of humor, and always had a smile to share even during his toughest challenges. He had a kind, caring heart, was passionate about life, and had the ability to make anyone feel special. He never hesitated to lend a hand or to cater any event. During his spare time, Dion enjoyed watching the Broncos, playing billiards, and a good practical joke.
Dion loved spending time with his family and was an extremely loving and proud father to his children, Dion Kerns Jr, Annie Kerns, Faith Kerns and Jeff Kerns.
He is also survived by his siblings Butch Parlade, Rochelle Oleksuk, JD McGinley, Ilene Martin-Hall, Kenneth Kerns, Eugene Kerns and Cedric Kerns; and by his wife Wendy Kerns and her children Tim Campbell, Tiffany Campbell and Malachi Campbell.
Services for Dion will be held on Thursday, Feb 27th 2014 at 2:00 pm at Saint James Church, 4615 NorthPark Dr., Colorado Springs, Co 80918.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made at any Wells Fargo under Dion Kerns Memorial.

“Dear Parlade Kerns family,
We send you our deepest sympathy for the loss of Dion. It is difficult to put into words how we feel for Judge Kerns and the entire family. We want to express our condolences to all of you.
It is never easy dealing with such an unexpected loss but now he is in the arms of god. We send you all our prayers for strength and healing.
