Dixie Delaware Obituary

There are times inlife when the most important things are the hardest to say, because words diminish them. Let this be noted as one of those times. With the guidance of God and her angels our much loved mother, Dixie Lea Delaware chose August 4, 2005 to depart from this earth. She will be missed by all who truly knew her and she will be revered as not only a daughter, sister, mother and a wife, but as a friend and a confidant.

Dixie was great, surrounded by animals, always smoking and playing Chess online without talking to her opponents. Dixie is the only person I feel visited me after death. I told Renae I saw her mother and Renae said, " Oh, yeah, I know the dress. "

Sorry to hear about the passing of Renae's mother, Dixie. I lost both my parents in the last 15 months. We got along pretty well together.

Sincerely,

Renae and JoAnn, Seeing your mother's picture brought back many memories. The struggling of two single parents trying to raise two daughters. Much laughter, some tears but always a deep love for our daughters.

Your mother loved you very much and what incredible women you two have turned out to be.

Although I did not know Mrs. Delaware, I taught her daughter Joann at Remington College, and I can say without a doubt that this is a quality young woman and must be a reflection her of mother.

Dixie was a very special lady and will be greatly missed by friends and family. The fact that Dixie is in the presence of the Lord now and all who have received Christ as their Savior will see her again one day brings much comfort. May the Lord's peace be with each of you.

Although I haven't seen Dixie for a number of years, I remember our "little conversations" at work and appreciated her level-headed comments at the time. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing and extend my deepest sympathy to all her family. May your cherished memories give you comfort at this time of loss.

I am so sorry for your loss, truly a sad time for all of you, but a great time for her to be with our heavenly Father! I was honored to know you Dan, and the girls and to walk with you down this path. You have one another to lean on and I'm sure you're doing that. May God, our loving Father, hold each of you close and be your comfort and source of strength. Shellie - Critical Care Desk
