I first learned the gospel long ago from Pres. Bugg in the little Naturita Branch. That small start was like a pebble tossed onto a pond. His influence keeps growing and growing. I will ever be grateful.

Although we only lived in Colorado Springs for a year, we grew to love and appreciate Bishop Bugg. What a thoughtful and kind person he was, and how he made us feel more than welcome. A true friend.
We appreciated a short visit not long after our return to Arizona, and we always looked forward to the Christmas letters we received each year.
Our thoughts and prayers are for Sally, and her family at this difficult time, and we hope you know of our love and concern for you.
Kindest wishes. Sherwood & Lori

Bishop Bugg was my first Bishop in Colorado Springs. He was a legendary Bishop who provided loving counsel to countless troubled people. He was a generous supporter of many causes. I recall fearing that the Ward wouldn't make its goal of raising money for the Boy Scouts. Bishop Bugg's generosity always made up the difference. I have fond memories of "cottage meetings" in the Bugg living room where Bishop Bugg taught lessons in Church History. I know he and his lovely wife were the difference in bringing many to the gospel due to their hospitality. We shared a passion for BYU Football. I always knew I could find the game on if I happened to arrive at the right time. Bishop and Sister Bugg provided a fantastic example as they served a mission to Russia. We loved to hear of their mission stories. I will very much miss seeing him at various activities. There is a big hole in my heart that won't be filled until I meet Bishop Bugg again.
