Donald Cleveland Obituary

Donald D. Cleveland was born in Pierce, Nebraska on May 20, 1929 and left this world on Sunday, January 30, 2011. Don was preceded in death by parents Lon and Erna Cleveland; brothers, Dale and George; wife of twenty-seven years Delores; wife of five years Marilyn; and step-son Jerry Brown. He is survived by Betty A. Cleveland, wife of twenty- nine years; sons, Steven (Maryvonne), Michael (Candy), Daniel (Cynthia); step-son Tom Brown; and daughter-in-law Rowena Brown. Don was blessed with ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A bricklayer by trade, Don was a fifty seven year member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers and served as business agent of Colorado Springs Local 4. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 4, 2011 at Holt Chapel of the Garden. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice West at 601 Greenwood, Canon City, CO 81212 or to the Orchard of Hope, 111 Orchard Ave. Canon City, CO 81212. Arrangements handled through Holt Family Funeral Home of Canon City, CO.
