Donald was born and raised in Eaglewood, Colorado. Mother was Hazel A Franklin. Father was Frank Davidson. Brother was Herman Lamonte Davidson, and sister was Ruth Clews.
He married his loving and faithful wife, Phyllis Kaufman, 53 years ago. He has 4 children with their spouses: Selena and Kyle Fogg, Sebrena and Rodney Atencio; Spring Davidson and Ken Anderson; Daniel and Lauren Davidson. He has 7 grandchild and 3 great-children.
Donald was devoted to his faith and his church, First Baptist Church of Colorado Springs. He was loved and cherished by all. He was a wonderful man who modeled faith in Jesus, love and dedication to his family and service to anyone in need. He was a strong man but also gentle in spirit. The love of Christ flowed through him.
He served in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam.
Donald was proud to be a master union electrician for 45 years. He was a champion for workers' rights. Donald was always active in local politics. Donald's calling in life was missionary work. He was always "lighting up the skies" in an under-privileged area or country.
Services will be at First Baptist Church of Colorado Springs on Saturday March 12, 2022 at 11am. Reception to follow.
Donations are requested to be sent to First Baptist Church for missionary work or Save the Children.

Don was a special guy. He could always be counted on to help with whatever was needed. I am sorry to hear of his death. My thoughts are with you all.

Dear Selena, We enjoyed meeting your parents and seeing how they helped aunt Zola--especially with her electrical situation on the farm. Your dad was a special man. May God comfort your mom and other family.
