Our beloved husband and father, Donald R. Holdridge, 55, a resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on June 26, 2022. He was raised in Germany and Colorado Springs.
Don entered the U.S. Army on January 1, 1986. He was in the infantry for 20 years and served in Desert Storm, Bosnia, and Korea, as well as many other overseas tours of duty, before retiring in 2006. On November 16, 1992, he married Martina Grillmeier in Fort Benning, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife, Martina Holdridge; daughter, Vanessa (Randy) Lisle; mother, Monika Holdridge; sisters, Audrey (Bob) Wood, and Caroline Holdridge; nephews, Sean (Jorge) Wood, and Troy (Sheng, Chase) Wood; nieces, Jessica (Safari, Havana) Fuqua, and Sammi (Ali) Wood; and his aunt, Patricia Miller.
Don loved his family and enjoyed camping, biking, swimming and woodworking.
He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 1, 2022, 9:30 am at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, "America the Beautiful" Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
