Remembering Don, so rich in friends, always fun in conversation, never failing to surprise with laughter, a master of casual intellect. Our family will miss him.

Don and I met in a sub shop in the summer of 1980. We became instant friends since we shared similar childhood memories, both military brats, high school in Hawaii, loved playing baseball and cherished our years living near the ocean. He became my drywall guy for my own home remodel and we worked with each other in later years in the construction field. My children knew him as Don the drywaller. We played softball together for years and had a lasting friendship that spanned almost 3 decades. Don willed be missed around our house and our thoughts and prayers are with him and the Jackson family. Tom,Inakay,Katie, and David Devers

I knew Don over 20 years as his insurance agent and friend. I saw him for the last time about a month ago. He was giving me a hard time about his insurance rates. (Which he always did!) I am thankful for that last long visit. He was a wonderful caring man and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends who loved him.

Don was a true friend for over 35 years, a kindred spirit, a mensch, a brother and, "a miner for a heart of gold." To Mr. and Ms. Jackson, Don's Sisters and Brother my deepest and heartfelt sympathy. What a rare joy it has been to know Don, and shared with him many of the wondrous days of our 20's and 30's- while tripping cheerily through the 1970's and 80's. He will be remembered well and missed by all who knew and loved him.

I 've known Don since 1971, he was a very close friend to Joe and me. We had a lot of wonderful times together. Through the years we grew closer, he was with me and my children through the death of their father. He will be dearly missed by the Sochovka Family, he was one of a kind. Our deepest sympathy, we loved him very much and he will be missed by everyone he ever knew. Terry, Theresa and Cory.

Don was one of the nicest people I grew up around and I will miss seeing him in the future years to come. Don was a good friend of my Dad's (who past away in 2005). Don has always been there for me, since as long as I can remember. My wilder days, my wedding and was a big part of my support when dad got sick. Don was one of the coolest men I have ever known and loved. Don will be missed by all in my family and wish the best to his family. Jackson Rock on and I will see you on the other side.

The first thing I’ll always remember about Don was his warm personality and ongoing knowledge. You just enjoyed being with him. He really listened well and had a captivating way of getting his own views across. Through the years I knew Don had been a talented sheetrocker, until I hired him and his good friend Tommy Dievers to finish my garage. I thought I had good ideas on how to complete a job. They had a vision of how to do it right and made me think it was mine. These guys wholeheartedly complimented one another with what turned out to be a masterpiece in all our minds. Don truly was an all around man of many skills and will be deeply missed.
