It is with great sadness that we share the news that on February 15, Ock Peterson passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side. He was larger than life and friends to many in this community and across the country. He is survived by his wife Joanie, his seven children, thirteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. The family is planning a private celebration of his life on the anniversary of his birth, June 15th, 2024. Donations are being accepted in his name by the Benchmark Foundation of Tubac. P.O. When I look over the hill behind our house, I see the Petersen/Smart home that held so much laughter and fun. It reminds me of the wonderful family that lived there a few years ago. But it also makes me feel sad knowing the patriarch of that family has died. Rest in peace dear neighbor, friend and dentist. You left many happy memories for all to cherish.

In 1977, Don brought us into the Colorado Springs dental community and welcomed us into his loving home. We are forever grateful, and he is forever missed.
