Donald Shunk Obituary

Donald Lee Shunk was born in Poole, Nebraska on Feb. 7, 1932 and went to be with his Lord and Savior June 4, 2016.

Donald served in the Army during the Korean War as a Radio operator. He is preceded in death by his wife Yvonne Shunk (March 11, 2010) they were married 54 years. Don raised his family in Pueblo, Colorado where he retired from the CF&I Steel Corp. After retiring from CF&I, Don moved his family to Falcon, Co. where he and his son, Bryan, started Apollo Propane, Inc. in 1984 and continues as a family operation to this date.

Don is survived by his three children and their spouses: Bryan (Carolyn) Shunk of Falcon, Co. Ladonna Connors of Brighton, Co. RaeAnna (Mark) Dugan of Falcon, Co. Six Grand Children and their spouses, Kristin (Robert) Westman, Kendra (Joseph) Aulino, Garrett Shunk, Mickeala (Michael) Reitz, Megan Dugan and Cordell Dugan. Two Great Grand Children, Lilianna Westman and Kayden Turner. Don is also survived by three sisters and one brother along with many nieces, nephews and in-laws that loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his sister Louise and brother Delbert.

Don's greatest joy was to see his two great granddaughters. They would always bring a smile to his face and a twinkle in his eye.

Visitation services will be held at Swan-Law Funeral Directors. Located at 501 N. Cascade Ave. on Thursday, June 9th 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Graveside service will be held at Imperial Gardens. Located at 5450 Hwy.78 West, Pueblo, Co. On Friday, June 10th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
