Donald Slack Obituary

Don Slack was born to William and Clara (Breithaupt) Slack on June 29, 1935 in Chester, Illinois and passed away on May 8, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Don entered the U.S. Army the day after he turned eighteen. He was a career soldier who served his country for twenty seven years. He retired to the beautiful state of Colorado which was a great place for him to enjoy two of his favorite activities.

Don is survived by his wife Betty of Colorado Springs; son Mark (wife Jeannie) of Round Rock, TX; son Neal (wife Patti) of Georgetown, TX ; and daughter Lynn (husband Alex) Guido of Colorado Springs. Don was very proud of his grandchildren - Kara (husband Ben) Regier and Evan Slack; Kelsey and Garrett Slack; Nate, Abby and Nick Guido and great-granddaughter Dylan Regier.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother Victor Slack (late Frieda) and sister Helen Slack.

Funeral service is to be held Saturday, May 16th at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 11 a.m. (viewing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.). A simple graveside service will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
