Donna Lee Krack
December 6, 2022

Donna Lee Krack, 80, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devout Catholic, now shares in the promise of eternal life in heaven with her loving husband, her parents, her sister, all the saints, and our loving lord Jesus Christ. Born in Colorado Springs, in 1942, Donna resided her entire life in Colorado Springs and the front range area. A horse enthusiast from a young age, Donna was involved in numerous horse-related activities, including informal trail rides at the original Flying W Ranch, and participating in the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo parades. She was honored as Wasson High Schools' first ever homecoming queen in 1960.
In 1971, Donna married James Krack and for the next 42 years they enjoyed life together, and with their family, building their Lazy K ranch, as well as founding and running the American Boarding Kennel Association, an international trade association for pet care operators. Donna and Jim loved spending time enjoying God's creation, riding trails in the Colorado mountains on their mules with good friends and raising a plethora of dogs, cats, horses, mules and donkeys on their ranch. Donna is survived by her children, Ann, Mary, Jim, Joe and Jace. Donna was a grandmother to 15, and great-grandmother to 17.
A Funeral Mass and Reception will be held at Benet Hill Monastery, 3190 Benet Lane, Colorado Springs, on Saturday, April 1 at 1:30 PM.
