Donna Kring (Meskimen) of Colorado Springs, CO passed away December 30 2025. She was born in Ft. Collins, CO 1937. Preceded in death by her parents Donovan and Ruth (Betty) Meskimen (Lane), her brother Lloyd McAnelly, and sister Gladys Swanson.
A granddaughter of Colorado Pioneers in Ft Collins, Donna graduated from Ft Collins High School class of 1955 as Salutatorian. She went on to become a Registered Nurse from St Lukes nursing school in Denver in 1958. She often attributed her nursing career to her great Aunt McAnelly, who was a nurse in WWI. After living in Wisconsin, New York, and Arizona, where her children were born, Donna returned to Colorado, the state she loved, in 1965 and has resided in Colorado Springs since.
She was proud of her work as both an Emergency and Operating Room nurse at Penrose hospital here in Colorado Springs. She also volunteered for many years for the local United Way, La Fe (Free) Clinic, the Junior League, and the Colorado School of Deaf and Blind. Eventually, she returned to school and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business from Regis College graduating as Valedictorian in 1982. From there she founded her own business, ASB Meditest which she grew into the largest provider of insurance physicals in Southern Colorado. Many of her colleagues and employees became her close friends throughout the years.
Donna loved her children, grandchildren, her family and friends (some still from high school). She was an avid reader, was especially passionate about Air Force Academy, and Broncos football. She had a great appreciation for US service members and southwest art, particularly Pima Indian baskets.
Donna will always be loved and missed by her children, Bruce (Fiancée Liz), Linda (Husband Tom) and Lisa (Husband Jeff); her grandchildren, Justin (Fiancée Casey), Aaron, Haylee, Kelsey and Courtney; and her brothers, Ron (Wife Pat) and Don and her many nephews and nieces.

Donna will always be remembered as kind, hard working, and as strong woman of her time.
In honor of her devout faith, a Memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 219 East Bijou Street Colorado Springs, CO 80903 at 11 AM Tuesday January 20, 2026.
