Donna Mae Brown Obituary

Donna Mae (Goodman) Brown passed away July 5. She was born August 20, 1928, in Iowa. After marrying Richard F. Brown, Donna lived in San Diego and Connecticut before moving with her children to Colorado Springs in 1966. Donna worked in the hospitality industry throughout her life, including at several restaurants in Colorado Springs as well as in dining services at Hewlett Packard. Donna is survived by a son, Dennis (Debbie) Brown of South Bend, Indiana; daughters: Debbie Seals from Crestwood, Missouri, and Diane Weiss from Mesa, Arizona; five grandchildren: Heather Seals, Lindsey Parsons, Mallory Weiss; a sister, Virgene Hemming of Colorado Springs; and three brothers: Bob, Rex and Bill Goodman. In her retirement years, Donna took delight in volunteering at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, with several Olympic governing bodies, and at the Colorado Springs Convention and Visitors' Bureau. A reception in celebration of Donna's life will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at the Pikes Peak Towers, 1912 East Lake Boulevard, Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs or Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care. Online Condolences: ShrineOfRemembrance.com

In rememberance of the beloved Donna Brown whom was a caring, loving, funny and dear women to me. I will miss you deeply and always. Thanks for being my friend and confidant. All your guidance has made me a better a person, of which I thank you. Rest in peace my Beloved Friend! You will be remembered and always cherised. Love, Carolyn Van Der Wege.
