Donna Rowles Obituary

Donna F. Rowles, entered into the presence of God on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. She was born to Robert and Eleanor Sheehy of New Castle, PA., August 25, 1931. Donna, a long time resident of Colorado Springs, was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Major Albert Lee Rowles, her parents and one sister, MInta Luedtke of Jacksonville, FL. She is survived by two sons: Reid Allen Rowles of Colorado Springs, CO. and Randy Lee Rowles of Houston, TX.; two sisters, Sarah Yoho (Evans City, PA.) and Hazel Burton (Fort Myers, FL.); and, two brothers, Robert Sheehy (Graeagle, CA.) and Roy Sheehy (Edinburg, PA.) She is also survived by three grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was a devoted member of Central United Methodist Church where she served as a Stephen's Minister. She was also active in the El Paso County Republicans Women where she served as President of that organization from 1976-78 and Advertising Chairperson in 1988. She was a member of The Retired Officer's Wives Club and several bowling leagues. Donna served the community as an Election Judge also. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO. 80903. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010 at Central United Methodist Church, 4373 Galley Road, Colorado Springs, CO. 80915. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 East Pikes Peak Ave., Colorado Springs, CO. 80903. She will be fondly remembered by all that knew her.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs Rowles seems to have been such an accomplished and busy lady that she will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
