Although I only knew her briefly at First UU Church Austin, I was enriched by those interactions. I am so enthralled by the stories of her life, and am in awe of her achievements. What a light she was in the world and to all who knew her. I send love to her family and friends, and know that her legacy lives on, reflected in all the good things in the world. I will remember her.

You are my hero in every sense of the word. You taught me strength not only in how you dealt with your illness, but in how you have carried yourself throughout your life before it. First, the way you loved, nurtured and taught Sam, Nina, Cole, and I with a strong, but loving guidance about the world. Thank you for you for the example you gave us about how to treat people and to be a conduit for positive change in my community and world. You taught us that with a little luck and a lot of hard work that there is nothing that can't be accomplished. You are proof of that. I would not be anything close to the person I am today without having you to look up to. Secondly, the way that you carried yourself in your business with an unmatched ethical standard and desire to succeed. Your work ethic and your passion were felt in everything you did. Most importantly, learning about an unselfish and true love through your relationship with Papa. There is no doubt in my mind that you were with us as long as your were by his love, devotion, and your unwillingness to miss out on just living life with him. You are my best friend and my role model. Thank you for loving me so much. You are so greatly missed, but I know you are with me everywhere I go. I hope that I can make you as proud of me as I've been to be your granddaughter. I love you.

Ron and Greg, it's been a pleasure to know your Mom and Wife all these years. Doris was always a pleasure to be around. In spite of all the health problems recently she always smiled and kept her sense of humor. She will be missed at all of the family get-togethers and I know there will be a major void in the Grandkids' lives with her passing. Kay and I are very thankful that she was able to enjoy Tiffany's wedding and she was able to leave on such a high note but she will certainly be missed by all who met her!
