In 1974, Doris welcomed us to Colorado Springs (and our new home) with a plate of her homemade chocolate chip cookies. Little did we know that she would become a lifetime friend and surrogate grandma. She opened her heart and her home to us and never asked for anything in return. She was a wonderful woman, someone I am grateful to have known for most of my life.

Gram, you were the best gram anyone could ever have. My kids and I loved you very much and you will be missed dearly. We know that you are in a better place celebrating with mom. Love you! Lindsay~
