To Doris' family and friends,
Please accept our deepest condolences. Doris was a longtime supporter of The Masonic Charity Foundation of CT, as well as the Valerie S. Winchester Scholarship Fund which was established in 1996 by Frank S. Winchester III in loving memory of his mother. We are grateful for her support as well as others that have supported and continue to support this scholarship, which is awarded to deserving junior volunteers at the Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford CT, enabling them to purse studies in the healthcare field.
Sincerely,

It was my honor and privilege to know Winnie. Her joy was contagious. Her solid, no-nonsense view of life and the world was inspriring. Her inner strength was powerful. Winnie, you are missed. This is not goodbye but until we meet again.

To the family and friends of Doris: Doris was one of the members of a group of ladies who worked at Nationwide Insurance and kept our friendship going over the years. We were known as "Alice's Girls" in memory of Alice Heidrich who hired us all at Nationwide back in the 60's. Ironically "Alice's Girls" met for dinner on Wednesday night and we were reminiscing and missing Doris. For some reason, the talk turned to "spirits" - the kind that float around...it was the next day we learned Doris died that same night we were sharing our memories of our times together. I think she stopped by our table to say good bye. (In a letter sent to all of Alice's Girls in September she wrote: "Raise a glass to the celebration of my life.") Consider that done, Doris!

Fondly remembered, Eileen Sullivan Donadio
