Dorothy E. Barber, 101, who worked as a homemaker, department store buyer and librarian, died November 4, 2021.

A graveside service will be held, November 15, at 1:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 South Hancock Expressway.

Mrs. Barber was born January 16, 1920, in Leavenworth, Kansas to Bonnie (Mandle) Haynes and Henry Oland Haynes.

She was married June7, 1941, in Topeka, Kansas, to John F. Barber, who preceded her in death January 7, 1996.

Survivors include two sons: John F. (Mary Ellen) of Loveland, Colorado, and David M. (Leslie) of Shell Beach, California; a daughter: Elizabeth Krasovec of Colorado Springs; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Dorothy was a dedicated volunteer with Woman's Auxiliary-Salvation Army; Villagers; Golden Circle Bible Study Guide; and Girl Scouts.

She was very active in GFWC /WCCS Woman's Clubs, where she served as President 2000-2002 and was an integral part of establishing the Colorado College endowment fund for the WCCS Scholarship for young women.

She was also active in Christian Women's Club, Monday Book Club, and El Paso Pioneers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, 621 17th St., Suite 1550, Denver, Colorado 80293.
