Dorothy Conger Obituary

Dorothy Marie Fox Conger was born September 5, 1931 and died September 6, 2016.

Dorothy was born in Manassa, Colorado to Eugene Winfield and Jennie Elizabeth Huffaker Fox. She was the oldest of twelve children. The family moved to Colorado Springs in 1939. Dorothy graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1949. On March 2, 1951 Dorothy married W. Lewis Conger, they lived in Colorado Springs until Lewis' death in 2001.

In the spring of 2001 Dorothy moved to St. George, Utah where she resided until her death.

She is survived by 4 children: Donna Leo of Park City, Utah, Jeanette Harris of St. George, Utah, Clark Conger of Durango, Colorado and Brent Conger of Blair, Nebraska; 5 grandchildren: Jill Leo and Ann Wigham of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Bryce and Emma Conger of Blair, Nebraska, Evan Conger of Blue Hill, Maine, and one great granddaughter Arly Wigham of Salt Lake City, Utah. Dorothy is also survived by: sisters, Virginia Soper, Marilyn Tousley, Patricia Scarlett, Judith Matthews, Lois Nemeck, and Kathryn Smithson; brothers, Richard Fox, Jeffrey Fox, and Rodney Fox and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Ron, sister Joy McNiell and brother Jim.

Dorothy was a member of the LDS Church.

Services will be held at the Melissa Chapel, 2750 Melissa Drive in Colorado Springs on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the chapel, prior to the service. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

An open house for Dorothy will be held at a later date in St. George, Utah.
